Iowa Push to Mandate Ethanol, Biodiesel Not Dead Yet

Iowa lawmakers’ plan to mandate both ethanol and biodiesel demand in the state is not over yet, but it is hanging by a thread as the deadline for action nears. The drive for a state biofuels mandate also comes after a key committee of the state House of Representatives ran out of time before voting on a bill that would have mandated the use of diesel containing 5 percent biodiesel.
